Music distribution of works made up for "The RoyEL" coming from Altavoz and Futureman
ROCKVILLE, Md. - Nov. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Altavoz Entertainment welcomes Roy "Futureman" Wooten to the Altavoz Family with wholehearted support for bringing a new resonance to music today, via Futureman’s Secret of Kings (Movement 1).
The introduction release of the Secret of Kings earmarks the beginning of a new symphonic journey and story direction, where every movement is rhythmically styled for a unique collaboration with the El Sistema Music Programs for social uplift. Their mission statement, "to play and to strive" echoes the Secret of Kings’ ancient call for a New Atlantis, a New World and a union of the Americas.
The message and the resonance of the music that Futureman is introducing to the world is part of a remarkable journey and it’s truly humbling to contribute to the global release of The Secret of Kings. — Nelson Jacobsen, CEO.
Futureman describes these compositions as "transcendental melodic rhythms" and has completed an entire symphonic story around this music. The Secret of Kings was composed on Futureman’s piano invention, “The RoyEl," and was arranged by Gil Fray. It's no accident, he said, that the RoyEl combines personal musical influences and resembles a keyboard. "More and more, I see the piano as a melodic drum set and the drum set as a rhythmic piano." The RoyEl is the instrument that Futureman suited to compose the music for The Secret of Kings. This music presents the prequel story that leads up to the legend of Chevalier St. Georges (and future releases via Altavoz's distribution as a service platfrom).
About Roy Futureman Wooten
Roy Wooten is an inventor, scientist, musician, composer and five-time Grammy Award winning performer with Béla Fleck and the Flecktones known as "FutureMan". Futureman’s unique percussion technique inspired his first invention, "The Drumitar," which allows him to replicate the sounds of an entire contemporary drum kit with his fingers. His desire to continue exploring the drums led to his second creation, "The RoyEl": A futuristic piano that can express the entire orchestra in any mathematical tuning and musical temperament. The tuning philosophy behind Futureman’s piano technique employs the power and science of Mother Nature with a tuning technology (developed by Dr. Wayne Kirby) called “Serious Composer,” which enables one to create music with the natural musical ratios of Nature, such as the Golden Mean (Phi) and the periodic table of elements. Futureman also uses dynamic touch pressure on his piano keys to change notes the same way a trumpet uses lip pressure on the mouthpiece to play different pitches.
