ROCKVILLE, Md. - Nov. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- At the upcoming Dec 4-6th, Random Hacks of Kindness, in the District of Columbia Altavoz has submitted a challenge to the #RHoKDC community to hack the public Blockchain for Entertainment. Up till now while valiant efforts have been made to figure out how to address getting particularly music onto the Blockchain; And, while genuine efforts they're addressing the wrong end of the barball, artists or retailers are in the thousands distributors offering digital physical global distribution are about a dozen and Altavoz is one of them and we’ve got an Altavozcoin(.com) that will work from inside the music biz, the creators and the public too.

For good reason much is being made of the blockchain and how it’s going to impact entertaiment however;  Altavoz’s knows how hard it is to get a giant industry like the Entertainment distribution to change since we introduced in 1995 at the annual trade show NARM, now, and it didn’t go over too well;  However!  we approached the same group in to talk about Cryptocurrency and alternative payments and by April 23, 2014 a webinar for the tradegroup lead to a whole Cryptocurrency panel during MusicBiz2014 in Los Angeles and now to this challenge to the DCTech and general crypto community to get this issue right.

Today after a few rocky years cryptocurrency particularly the elements related to it like the Blockchain offer a way for everyone in the eco-cycle of entertainment from creators to partners the reporting of very specific data formats conforming to numerous standards  UPC, ISRC, DDex, VSDA are now able to be united into one effort.  “Altavoz has been part of the Data of Music since the 90s;  And, at this RHoKDC Altavoz is seeking a solution for the whole industry and it’s tied to the public blockchain which will ensure that our challenge is up to be the Future of Entertainment Today” Nelson Jacobsen, CEO.

District of Colombian's have been part of Random Hacks of Kindness [ RHoK ] since the 1st Global Hackathon held in June of 2010 in FriendshipHeights.   The Back Story Random Hacks of Kindness is a joint effort founded by Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft, NASA and The World Bank, dedicated to bringing software developers together to respond to challenges facing humanity in the area of natural disaster risk now guided in DC by Help Earth Foundation.  We start with problem definitions created through consultations with NGOs, governments and experts in the field from around the world, then we invite hackers to a come together to organize and go to work putting their skills to use to solve those problems with software solutions that make a difference on the ground. At a RHoK hackathon, new technologies are born, existing platforms are built upon, and innovative new ideas attract attention and support. At the close of the hackathon, teams present the technologies they have developed and prizes are awarded.
