Never Compromise on Good Food, Even On-The-Go

LONDON - May 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Following research by The British Heart Foundation, which found that 39% of Britons sacrifice health benefits for cost when grocery shopping, Chop’d insists that consumers should never compromise, even when they’re buying food on-the-go.

At Chop’d, provenance is not a buzzword it is its mantra. MD Eddie Holmes says: “When it comes to sourcing the most nutritious ingredients around, we are not prepared to compromise and neither should consumers. Good quality, healthy food does not have to cost a fortune, it’s all about making sensible choices.

“If the price of meat or fish is high, opt for smaller servings complimented with larger portions of in-season vegetables or look at alternatives like Tofu, an incredible ingredient which acts like a chameleon taking on all the flavours within your dish.  Plan a regular visit to your local fruit and vegetable market, where you will find fresh nutritious in-season food that will see you through for the whole week”.

Eddie’s top five versatile vegetables that last over five days:

-          Spouting broccoli

-          New season carrots

-          Jersey royals

-          Asparagus

-          Frozen peas “always keep a bag in the freezer, no waste and an easy addition to most meals”

When it comes to fast food, Chop’d is a game changer. Its healthy, high quality, in season produce means its menu always provides great variety while remaining competitively priced.
