Agile Sciences Announces Issuance of 2 Additional US Patents
Newly issued patents expand intellectual property protection for Company’s proprietary compounds
U.S. Patent No. 8,618,149, entitled "Inhibition of Biofilms with Imidazole Derivatives"
U.S. Patent No. 8,653,124, entitled "Inhibition of Biofilms in Plants with Imidazole Derivatives"
Agile co-founder, Dr. John Cavanagh, commented: “We are very pleased to have been issued these two patents, which will provide the Company with additional intellectual property protection for our potent anti-biofilm small molecules.”
Agile Sciences Vice President of Research and Development, Dr. Eva Garland, noted: “The issuance of these patents will enable us to further develop and commercialize Agile Sciences’ licensed compounds for a variety of applications, including human health and agriculture.”
