Agile Sciences Announces Issuance of 2 Additional US Patents

RALEIGH, N.C. - April 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Agile Sciences announced today that two additional patents have been issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, providing the Company with expanded intellectual property protection, for its proprietary anti-biofilm small molecules.

U.S. Patent No. 8,618,149, entitled "Inhibition of Biofilms with Imidazole Derivatives", was issued on December 31, 2013.  The patent expands coverage of the composition and use of compounds exclusively licensed by Agile Sciences from NC State University.

U.S. Patent No. 8,653,124, entitled "Inhibition of Biofilms in Plants with Imidazole Derivatives", was issued on February 18, 2014.  This patent covers agricultural applications of the Company’s compounds.
