Hong Kong Corporate Sevens Deliver “Pitch Perfect” Funds to Po Leung Kuk

April 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Together with the Macquarie Group, the HKRFU, and the FCC Charity Fund, the Savills Management team presented a cheque for HK$1.2 million to the [newly appointed] Po Leung Kuk Chairlady, Ms. Angela O.K. Leong at the Po Leung Kuk Headquarters.

The Corporate Sevens Tournament (previously known as the Professions Sevens) celebrated its 30th Year Anniversary in style the tournament which was held on 1st December 2013 was the most successful to date in terms of fund raising. Pledging to raise a million HK dollars for the children of Po Leung Kuk and the Yuen Long community, the sixteen corporate teams did themselves proud. The project fondly known as Pitch Perfect will convert three derelict tennis courts into a world class multi surface sports pitch enabling children to play a variety of sports including rugby, football and soft ball.

Mr. Nick Bradstreet, Deputy Managing Director Savills said “We hit the refresh button on our tournament and we are delighted with the result. This is HK at its best. With the support from our partners: the Macquarie Group, the participating teams and the HKRFU we are able to deliver Pitch Perfect.”

“The HKRFU is proud to be working with Po Leung Kuk, and we are committed to a long term partnership with them through the “Tackling Life” rugby programme.  This new pitch will allow even more youngsters the opportunity to participate in sport, and will bring lots of enjoyment to thousands of boys and girls in the years ahead” said Mr Vern Reid, CEO HKRFU.
