CCWW announce plans to design and licence a 4G LTE-Advanced protocol stack

BOURNEMOUTH, U.K. - Feb. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Communications Consultants Worldwide (CCww), a leader in GSM-related cellular wireless, announces today that it is embarking on the development of a Release 11 LTE-Advanced UE Protocol Stack for onward licensing. The AS/NAS protocol software will be developed wholly by CCww’s engineers, and will be demonstrable on host by September 2015. CCww is seeking early adopter licensees, and is confident that it will sign up its first partner in the next 3 months.

The outline specification is:

Release 11 LTE-Advanced E-UTRA Access Stratum and Non-Access Stratum

FDD and TDD mode support

CA (Carrier Aggregation)

MIMO (Multiple Input/ Multiple Output) support

Inter-RAT measurements and control

IPv6 and IPv4 support

IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem)

VoLTE (Voice calls over IP using SIP & RTP)

SS (Supplementary Services) using IMS
