San Clemente Villas by the Sea to Host March "Myths, Fallacies & Facts on Dementia" Presentation

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. - Feb. 20, 2014 - PRLog -- San Clemente Villas by the Sea (SCV) co-owner Aileen Brazeau is pleased to announce that it will host an informative presentation on Tuesday, March 12, 2014 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at San Clemente Villas by the Sea.  The presentation offers local families and professionals critical information from two Orange County dementia experts: Dr. Jane L. Mahakian, Ph.D. and neurologist Dr. Ali Elahi.

About Jane L. Mahakian, Ph.D., MFT
Dr. Jane L. Mahakian has a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in geriatrics.  She is the President of Aging Matters, Inc, a Geriatric Care Management company in South County that specializes in working with older adults with memory loss and their families. For 10 years, Dr. Mahakian served as Director of the Elder Care Program at the University of California San Francisco. About Dr. A. Elahi
Neurologist A. Elahi founded and was named the Medical Director of Orange County Neurology in Mission Viejo In 2005. Dr. Elahi began his study of Neuroscience at UCLA and the University of Pittsburgh. In 1996, he attended University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he earned his medical degree. Specializing in neurology, Dr. Elahi's spent his residency training at the University of Iowa Hospital; and also trained with world-renowned neurologists including Dr. Harold P. Adams, Jr. and Dr. Jun Kimura.
