GovComm Releases 4th Generation High Efficiency 16 Channel Video Encoder

MIAMI - Jan. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- GovComm, Inc. announces the addition of its High Efficiency 16 Channel Video Encoder (GC-E716-9) to complement its 1, 4 and 8 channel video encoder appliances.  Video encoders receive feeds from analog cameras and digitize the signals to make the older technology (analog) cameras function in a similar way to network (IP) cameras.  GovComm’s video encoder is perfect for large analog video installations, especially where an IP network infrastructure is already in place.

The GC-EC716-9 delivers two video streams: one stream for high resolution recording functionality and a second lower resolution stream to conserve bandwidth for live viewing.  GovComm’s highly available video encoders feature DSP hardware compression utilizing an advanced H.264 format, variable bit and frame rates, multi-zone motion detection, private masking, multi-level user access management and an optional SATA interface for local storage.

GovComm network appliances are rack mountable, have extended working temperatures and support all common network protocols.  The GovComm manufacturing facility is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified and our products are PSIA and OnVIF compliant.
