Community Rowing of San Diego Announces the launch of its Annual Regatta The Playoff Paddle

Community Rowing of San Diego is set to hold its first annual Playoff Paddle at Crown Point Shores on Mission Bay.
SAN DIEGO - Jan. 30, 2014 - PRLog -- Community Rowing of San Diego (“CRSD”) is pleased to host its first annual rowing regatta titled the Playoff Paddle.  The Playoff Paddle is for all ages and skill levels.  The event is open to rowing shells, kayaks, canoes, paddle boarders, and dragon boats.  This one-day event is being held on February 9, 2014, at Crown Point Shores on Mission Bay.

“It is our hope that following Superbowl weekend, San Diegans will want to get out and take to the water in this friendly and open competition” said David Frost, CRSD President and event spokesperson.  “We hope to see rowers, kayakers, canoeists and paddle-boarders having fun competing in this friendly atmosphere and of course, to enjoy the calm early morning waters on Mission Bay.  Some of the teams we expect to see in this event include Gompers Preparatory Academy men’s and women’s crew team - the newest high school team to join the growing number of scholastic rowers in the region - to compete in this event.  Cathedral Catholic Men’s and women’s crew teams, and teams from ZLAC and the San Diego Rowing Club, as well as newly created San Diego Veteran's Rowing Club among others.”

Our event sponsor, Sew Sporty of Vista, CA ( has graciously donated time and materials, so that we can offer a free commemorative T-shirt to all paid participants in this first annual event.
