Jan. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Larry was appointed in January 1983  after completing six years of active duty as a Naval Aviator.  He was the #1 first year advisor for that year.  In 1984 and 1985, he became a CAC (chairman’s advisory  council) member and was ranked #15 nationally amongst all our advisors.  In 1986, he took over the Virginia Beach, VA office which at that point was ranked 178 out of 180.  By 1988 under Larry’s leadership,  it was the #4 Financial Planning office in the country.  In 1988, Larry took over the Boston office which was ranked #12 in GDC with 44 advisors.  By 1995, again under Larry’s leadership,  Boston was the #1 office in the country in GDC with 156 Advisors.  In 1995 Larry became the RVP for Philadelphia with 125 advisors. By 2000, Philadelphia was the top region in the country with 248 advisors.  In 2001, Larry became the RVP in Boston, where he averaged an amazing  net gain of 35 advisors per year!   The Boston region had the highest net gain in the company.   In 2007, Larry became VP of Novice Recruiting, where he focused on helping our P1 Advisors with client acquisition.   During these years, his training led to  increased clients acquired by remarkable numbers:  New Orleans up 143%, Washington DC up 168%, Minneapolis up 98%, Portland OR up 98%, Irvine CA up 40%.   In 2013 , Larry was involved in leading our hiring strategy for our Target Career Changer program.

Along  Larry’s  career he has promoted many of Ameriprise’s  current and past field leaders, , including EVP’s Pat O’Connell and Bill Williams. SVP’s Teresa  Hanratty and Peter Velardi.  RVP’s  Mike Rearden, Jeremy Straub, Joe Exner, Jamie Frisone,  Scott DiGiammarino, Ted Jenkins,Craig Taucher as well as dozens of FVP’s.  Larry Retired from Ameriprise on February 1, 2014 after 31 years.
