Delhi gets Cell for Land Pooling

Private Sector welcomes DDA’s move and plans increased investment in land.

Jan. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- In a very recent decision taken at DDA’s board meeting, the high time need of a land pooling cell has been accomplished. The land pooling policy will be implemented and monitored by this cell. The creation of this cell is seen as a major boost for making land pooling policy a dream come true for urban development ministry. The ministry has been promising this policy very aggressively for last some time. As per the statement released by a senior DDA official all the related regulations will be made public on DDA’s website besides publishing the same.

In the National Seminar  on Land Pooling Policy by NAREDCO last month, DDA also expressed its intent to invite Land Pooling applications from Feb-Mar' 2014. Mr.Ramesh Menon of Certes Realty Ltd. affirms that this is a positive step  and it will accelerate land buying by the private sector and will encourage the participation in MPD 2021, the largest real estate opportunity in India with a proposed spend of INR 90,000 crores in the 12th five year plan. Since infrastructure commitment is also in place, the real estate sector should respond with greater enthusiasm.
