| ![]() Ding Feng Cup tournament battle to go InternationallyIndividual categories such as Chang-quan, Nanchuan and Taiji-quan was contested, along with the dual event for groups of two to three performing sparring routines. There were group event for squads of six to 10 in the competition organised by the Ding Feng Wushu Academy. Cash prizes totaling RM8,900 was presented to the winners of the various categories. "Wushu is not only a sport; it is also a good way of the fitness of the body. We want to promote it to the public so that everyone can take advantage of taking this sport," Jack Lim stated. The tournament kick off its first event at 11 a.m. on January 4. "Ding Feng Cup 2014 is embodiment of traditional & contemporary wushu, and traditional Lion Dance, ' We are convinced that with the support of Penang State government, as well as from media friends, this competition is going to be a complete success," Vincent Khor said confidently. Vincent Khor said the event was jointly organised by Ding Feng Wushu Academy, with Penang State government as the main sponsor. The Ding Feng Cup 2014 tournament is an important stop in the Wushu and Tradition Lion Dance circuit and plans are in the works to expand this event in order to accommodate not only the growing number of competitors but to allow for expended divisions.
