Ding Feng Cup International Wushu Championship 2016

GEORGETOWN, Malaysia - Nov. 15, 2016 - PRLog -- This is the third time Ding Feng Wushu Academy has organised the competition with the full support of the Penang State Government.

The 3^rd Ding Feng Cup International Wushu Championship 2016 which will be held at Han Chiang Indoor Stadium has attracted an overwhelming response from all over the country and overseas. There are 65 teams with 800 exponents from China, Singapore,  Donestk, Brunei, India and Malaysia  competing in the 3rd Ding Feng Cup International Wushu Championship 2016.

The Ding Feng Cup International Wushu Championship 2016 is jointly organised by  Ding Feng Wushu Academy and Ding Feng Wushu Association, endorsed by Wushu, Lion & Dragon Dance Association, Penang, supported by Penang State Government & Penang State Sports Council.

The vision of the Ding Feng Cup International Wushu Championship 2016 is to glorify and propagate wushu as well as enhancing the awareness of martial ethics.

The 2 days competition feature various wushu disciplines including International routine, traditional routine, traditional taiji, sparring and group event.

The Penang State Government is striving towards bringing in more international competitions in a move to not only maximise the use of the state's sports facilities but also for the development of sports here.

The exponents range from age 4 to age 73. A total of 300 events has been arranged. Prizes awarded are 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 2 Bronzes and 4 Consolations. There is an Overall Champion trophy for the team which has the highest score.
