SISA Summit 2013 - New PCI DSS v3.0

 
MUMBAI, India - Dec. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- SISA Summit 2013 is a 1 day event organized by Info security pioneers SISA Information Security, in association with media partner InfoSecurity, a comprehensive magazine on Info security. Open Sessions with presentations, discussions, and interactions around PCI DSS v3.0 (Release Date – Nov 07, 2013) perfectly complemented this year’s theme of the event – “New PCI DSS v3.0 in spotlight”.

Keynote speaker Dharshan Shanthamurthy, CEO of SISA Information Security gave an inspirational and motivational address on the current trends in PCI environment and the impact of the PCI DSS v3.0 to businesses. The session was followed by a presentation from SISA senior consultant Deepak Umapathy, who had given a detailed insight on PCI DSS v3.0 for participants from merchants, banks, service providers and card schemes for upcoming remediation and certification projects.

The panel discussion which followed, discussed on the much debated topic of the Industry – “Is PCI Compliance a liability or an asset to your organization”. The brilliant line-up of panelists included industry stalwarts, Prashant Mali (Cyber security Expert), Rana Sinha Ray (Senior VP & Head – Technology , Times of Money), Chinmay Trivedi (Senior Quality Manager, Bigtree Entertainment), Dharshan Shanthamurthy (CEO, SISA) and was moderated by the enthusiastic Burgess Cooper (CISO, Vodafone) gave a different perspective of PCI to the audience. This very lively discussion, featuring five prominent players from Merchants, QSA and Payment service provider, was inspiring and gave the captivated audience plenty to think about. The participants also received legal tips free of cost from the Cyber security expert which made this discussion unique to other events of this kind.

The afternoon session started with a case study from Sameer Ratolikar (CISO, Axis Bank) on PCI Implementation challenges for Banks. He had emphasized on the need to have PIN security for all card transactions and the ways in which banks can fix security issues on mobile POS machines. Chinmay Trivedi (Senior Manager – Quality) – [bookmyshow.com] had given a presentation on PCI Implementation challenges for merchants. The presentation covered the bottlenecks they have faced during the PCI journey and how to they made those hassles into opportunities to improve the security posture of their organization.

The Technical Q&A session by SISA panel of consultants ensured that the participants left the conference with solutions to their problems and not questions on what to do next. The session ended with Nitin Bhatnagar (SAARC Sales Head, SISA) sharing the gratitude from SISA to the Speakers and Participants who made the conference a knowledge sharing platform with their willingness to network and share ideas. The real community spirit of PCI fraternity was once again underlined the value of such an event and the need for working together as a team.
