Subaru of Hilton Head is Sponsoring Downtown Beaufort’s Holiday Weekend Celebrations

Nov. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- In addition to selling some of the finest vehicles available, Subaru of Hilton Head (http://www.subaruofhiltonhead.com/our-history/) has long been engaged with a variety of charitable initiatives and community events throughout the Lowcountry, and such is the case with Downtown Beaufort’s Holiday Weekend. The festivities will begin with the 28^th Annual A Night on the Town! on Friday, Dec. 6. This event heralds the beginning of the holiday shopping season, and many shops in the area will have expanded hours — but there’s much more to A Night on the Town! than just commerce.

The 28^th Annual A Night on the Town! (http://www.downtownbeaufort.com/night-on-the-town) is a celebration of the holidays and the spirit of the season. To that end, the evening will feature the City of Beaufort’s tree-lighting ceremony, along with choral performances, the Parris Island Marine Corps Band, and maybe — just maybe! — a visit from Santa Claus himself.

Of course, the spirit of giving is a part of the season, and so some of the shops with expanded hours will be offering special treats as well as a preview of the items they’ll have available in the buildup to Christmas. It’s a great opportunity for Lowcountry resident to both purchase and gather ideas for gifts.

A Night on the Town! will take place on Friday, Dec. 6, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A Night on the Town! also happens to be the first of many fun holiday events coming up in Beaufort.  On Saturday, Dec. 7, at 5:30 p.m., the Beaufort Sail and Power Squadron will treat spectators in the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park to the Light Up the Night boat parade on the Beaufort River.

The highlight of the weekend’s festivities for many will be the traditional Beaufort Christmas Parade, which will take place on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. Taking place in the streets of beautiful downtown Beaufort, the parade will feature floats, bands, walkers, and personal vehicles.
