Westie Rescue of North Texas Announces the Resignation of Marvin Katz

DALLAS - Nov. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- On Tuesday, November 5, 2013, Westie Rescue of North Texas ("WRNT") founding member and Director, Mr. Marvin Katz, resigned from the organization with over 16-years of dedicated service. Through his leadership, WRNT has established itself as a leader within the State and regional rescue communities.  We wish Mr. Katz well in his retirement and hope he will continue his support of WRNT.

WRNT understands that changes in board membership are inevitable.  WRNT continues to strive for excellence as we wrap-up the year.    Please know that WRNT is stronger today than it has ever been.  In 2013, the WRNT Board instituted a new Conflict of Interest policy, and is currently updating our Code of Ethics/Code of Conduct policy.  These recent changes were instituted to protect and preserve the organization’s vital resources and legacy. WRNT Board members and our operations are held to the highest standard of conduct, which has produced greater transparency, trust, and respect with those that work with and support WRNT.

WRNT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that exists to rescue and rehabilitate abused, abandoned, neglected, homeless, and surrendered West Highland White Terriers. WRNT is completely staffed with volunteers, and relies on donations to provide medical care and to rehabilitate the Westies in our program.

If you would like to show your support and help save a pup, please contact Hoong Nan Young, 214-207-2850, fundraising@wrnt.org for more information.
