Westie Walk 2014 Online Registration Closed

DALLAS - Oct. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Westie Rescue of North Texas (WRNT) today announced that online registration for Westie Walk 2014 – Wild West, is now closed.  The eleventh annual Westie Walk will take place on Saturday, October 18 at Mary Heads Carter Park in Carrollton and in-person registration will be available onsite starting at 9:00 am.

WRNT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that rescues and rehabilitates abused, abandoned, neglected, homeless and surrendered West Highland White Terriers.  WRNT is completely staffed with volunteers and relies on donations and fundraisers to provide medical care for the rehabilitation of Westies in the program.  The Westie Walk is WRNT’s largest fundraiser and the goal for this year to is to raise $15,000 for the nonprofit.  All registration fees, donations and sponsorships go back to the organization.

Westie Walk is a fun-filled day featuring a Rainbow Bridge Memorial, the official “Westie Walk”, a parade of rescues, red carpet photo opportunities, a costume contest and silent auction, raffles and games.  Food and coffee will be available all day and all pets are welcome.  Currently over 70 people and 45 dogs are pre-registered for the event--the cost to register is $10 for adults, $5 for children and pets are free.  For a detailed schedule of events, please visit http://www.westierescuenorthtexas.org.
