It features up and coming bands from across the globe. The festival is held in elimination rounds in different countries throughout the year. In the first rounds the bands that advance are decided by the attending audience. The vote is open and the audience can vote as many times as they want and for as many bands as they choose. The final rounds are decided by a profession jury panel of judges. All national winners are flown at Emergenza's expense to Germany to compete in the international finals. The Emergenza Rock Festival also covers all expenses for accommodations and local transportation. Bands competing in the international finals will have the honor of sharing the bill and the stage with some of rocks biggest legends. The international winner is crowned the "Best Band in the World" and wins a tour, promotion, studio time, musical instruments and more!
