Cologne, Germany’s Underground To Host Emergenza on January 18th
Germany’s popular Underground will be hosting the Emergenza Rock Festival on Saturday January 18th, 2014.
Emergenza is the world's largest festival for unsigned, up and coming bands. It holds concerts in more than 180 cities around the world. It features up and coming bands from across the globe.
The festival is held in elimination rounds in different countries throughout the year. The first set of rounds are decided by the attending audience. The votes are open and audience members can vote as many times as they want and for as many bands as they choose. The final rounds are decided by a jury panel of professional judges.
National winners are flown, at Emergenza’s expense, to Germany to compete in the international finals. Emergenza also covers all costs associated with accommodations and local transportation. The international finals are held each August at the Taubertal Open Air Festival. Bands competing in the international finals have the honor of sharing both the bill and stage with some of rocks biggest legends.
The international winner is crowned “The Best Band in the World’ and wins a tour, promotion, studio time, musical instruments and so much more!
Eight bands are scheduled to take the stage at the Underground to compete in thirty minute sets: easy rock band Puntozero, Indie band Fluchtwagen, Indie rock band Unbearables, pop rock band Room 3, pop rock band Miliart, psyco band Thee Oiva, rock band First Lane and rock band OhneMich!.
Don’t miss the opportunity to hear some of Germany’s hottest up and coming bands at the Underground on January 18th!
