Manhattan Beach Optometry Clinic Announces Computer Vision Problems

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - Oct. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – October 17, 2013 – Michael Hansen, optometrist at Advanced Eyecare Center, states in a recent blog post, “Computer eye problems are very common these days because people continuously work or focus on a computer, mobile phone and/or television screen.”  He continues by saying, “Computer eye problems affect children and adults alike. Children often play video games on portable devices and use computers in school, while adults often work on a computer all day.”

It is more challenging to read something from a computer screen than it is from a piece of paper as the screen may flicker and has a glare of light.”

Some people are more prone to computer vision than others.  Hansen says, “People who have existing eye conditions are more likely to experience computer eye problems. The ability to focus on images that are too close or too far begins to diminish and the eye lens becomes less flexible.”
