Follow on Google News | New broadcast time for KQCK's Rock and Roll 101Popular vintage rock online radio show moves to its new time by featuring The Beatles' live radio performances recorded especially for BBC programming.
By: KQCK Radio “To accommodate other usage of the KQCK studio, and to accommodate my schedule a little better, the move to 7 p.m. local time became necessary,” Daniel Dullum, host/producer of Rock and Roll 101, said. “We hope there is minimal inconvenience and that listeners will see it as a fun way to wrap up the weekend.” This week, The Beatles’ live recordings for the BBC are featured in the first hour, including many songs from their Cavern sets that were never recorded for their regular issue albums. You’ll hear the Fab Four interact with BBC hosts Lee Peters, Rodney Burke and Brian Matthew on shows such as Pop Go The Beatles, Top Gear and Saturday Night. EMI is releasing a second volume of The Beatles’ BBC recordings in November, including some of the tracks heard on this show, previously released on BBC Transcription. The Joe South composition “Hush” is the Cover of the Week. Album Tracking features The Guess Who from Share The Land, and the Vintage Tunedex features the Top 15 for the week of October 5, 1968, as tabulated by WNAP-FM (93.1) in Indianapolis, Indiana. So, for a different spin on the golden oldies and regional hits that time forgot, join Daniel on Sunday, October 6 for two-plus hours of music educational fun on Rock and Roll 101, now in High Fidelity! Class is in session at 7 p.m. Arizona (Pacific) Time, on KQCK-Live Internet Radio, Queen Creek, Arizona. Visit Rock and Roll 101 on Facebook. Schedule subject to change. End
