Cepoint's 2U NAS Storage Server upgrades to 48TB utilizing 4TB 6Gb/s Drives.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - Aug. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Boston, MA,  Cepoint Networks, LLC has upgraded its Rx-1702 series 2U storage servers to utilize 4TB 6Gb/s drives , in addition to the existing SSD /hdd hybrid version. In the past Rx1702 servers utilized proprietary software drives to be able to make use of high capacity drives beyond 2TB.
With the new upgrade no special software driver required, so users can easily expand their storage units automatically by hot-plugging 2TB, 3TB or 4TB and above HDD drive devices to the expansion drive modules with no problem.
Rx-1702 new upgrade now allows users to expand their storage up to 48TB in a single 2U box or chassis and scale to unlimited volume using external expansion boxes.
Rx-1702 2U storage servers were originally developed as complementary storage sever for the company's Data acquisition and telecommunications products in addition to it's video capturing and recording solutions such as the -
RGB(HDTV) and HD-SDI Multi-channel Digital Video IRIG-B or GPS frame time-stamp capability.
Cepoint's line of 2U storage servers also includes hybrid Disk storage disks and 2.5" hdd lines of products.The units features low power, high density storage and compute power ideal for public cloud, private cloud, enterprise virtualization.
