The new Top Safety Pick+ rating includes the all-new small front overlap test. The small front overlap test is designed to test cars for how well they protect occupants in the case of a collision with a small stationary object like a pole or a tree. This test joins the front- and side-impact tests, a rollover safety test, and the seating and head restraint test.
