7 Days Left for Black Snow Comics' Kickstarter Project

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Aug. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Black Snow Comics has a Kickstarter project at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/michaelbalistreri/black-snow-the-graphic-novel to raise funds to publish their first full length graphic novel.  There is only a week left for backers to help them reach their goal, which at the time of this writing they are 73% towards achieving.

The book, Black Snow: Two Drink Minimum, follows the story of a drunken old wannabe superhero in Detroit who is hired to investigate allegations of corruption revolving around the Motor City's greatest hero, The Lone Wolf.  Black Snow's actions place him and his friends in the middle of warring gangs and a police crackdown on all superpowered individuals.

The style blends the classic black and white world of film noir with the larger than life depiction of traditional superhero comics to form something truly unique and totally engaging. 

Black Snow was created by long time friends Michael Balistreri and Alex Siquig back in 2001, when the two were just teenagers.  Since that time the character has appeared in newspaper comic strips, magazines, comic books, online webcomics and more.  The grumpy anti-hero and his underground comics have achieved a cult following and inspired numerous spin offs.

The graphic novel, Black Snow: Two Drink Minimum will be the character's first venture into a full length story.  It has been posted online as each page is created at http://blacksnowcomic.com/bstdm/ where it earned the distinction of being named the 2nd Best Webcomic of 2011 by the Washington Post.
