SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Aug. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Facebook’s Director of Learning, Stu Crabb, will be featured as a keynote speaker at Learning 2013, a global conference for learning professionals taking place November 3-6 in Orlando.

Stu describes the learning and development changes they are making at Facebook in blunt and intriguing terms:
"By ruthlessly prioritizing, saying NO to the 'traditional' demands of the ‘training department’ and really enabling people to own and drive their own development, Facebook's Learning & Development team is transforming what has traditionally been a curriculum-based approach to learning into one that is dynamic, current, and 'One-Size-Fits-One'."

“Facebook's ‘One-Size-Fits-One’ strategy and commitment to the personalization of learning and empowering employees to drive their process is an ideal conversation for the learning and training field. We are honored to bring Facebook’s Director of Learning, Stu Crabb, and Mike Rognlien, ‘Builder of Awesome Managers’, to a Keynote dialogue and interview on Tuesday November 5th at Learning 2013,” says conference host Elliott Masie.

Elliott confirmed that, in addition, Facebook will be the center of a "drill-down" session at the conference – looking at how they are radically changing the culture of learning in this high profile organization.

The other keynote speaker at the Tuesday afternoon general session is one of Facebook’s most active "Digital Storytellers", actor George Takei.  The 76-year-old Star Trek icon is the single most active storyteller and blogger on Facebook. George will share the process of using Social Media as a tool for sharing stories, knowledge and community.

Elliott Masie’s Learning 2013, to be held in Orlando, Florida from November 3 to 6, brings together the world’s directors of workplace learning and education.

Learning 2013 is produced by The Learning CONSORTIUM, a collaborative of 230 global corporations, focused on improving workplace learning and training.  It is hosted and curated by Elliott Masie.  In addition to Stu Crabb and Mike Rognlien from Facebook, keynote speakers this year will include: Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Actor George Takei on Storytelling and Social Media, Journalist Jane Pauley on Boomers in the Workplace, The Open University’s Martin Bean and many more.

In previous years, keynote speakers have included General Colin Powell, President Bill Clinton, Apolo Ohno, Captain Sully Sullenberger and business authors Marshall Goldsmith, Ken Blanchard and Tom Peters.
