Parent Led Reform Launches New State Chapter In Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore. - July 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Parent Led Reform, a Colorado based national organization that was created by a stay-at-home-mom, announced today that it is launching a state chapter in Oregon. The two moms heading up the Oregon effort, homeschool mom Jennifer Gallegos and public school mom Macey France, are no strangers to leading the community in education reform. Together they founded “Stop Common Core in Oregon,” informing the public about the perils of the new federal education agenda known as “Common Core Standards.” Parent Led Reform is part of a national collaboration that is sweeping the country by equipping parents and educators with resources for efficient action and advocacy.

“Parental authority in Oregon education has all too often been dismissed by legislators and lobbyists; we are here to change that," declares Parent Led Reform Oregon's Newly minted CEO, Jennifer Gallegos, "We are tired of being shoved into the back seat and told to be quiet. These are our kids. We are putting ourselves back in the driver's seat."
