KAI Texas chosen as Architect for Pre-Design Phase of Tarrant County Precinct 1 Facilities

DALLAS - June 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Dallas, TX (www.KAITexas.com) – Tarrant County officials recently selected KAI Texas as architectural pre-design services project manager for the Precinct 1 Maintenance Facility Renovation project. The design phase of the project is currently underway and will provide further insight regarding project needs necessary for improving Precinct 1’s existing Administrative Building in Burleson, TX.

In 2006, Precinct 1 representatives formulated a proposal to improve and modernize the existing Administrative Building site, which was built in 1985-86. The Administration Building and adjacent maintenance shop facilities are in need of updates to comply with the latest work-place safety rules and general replacement of the Administration Building is proposed to better serve the citizens of Precinct 1 in Tarrant County. KAI Texas will provide conceptual design for the Administration Building replacement and renovation/expansion of the maintenance building. As stewards of Tarrant County's resources the building will be designed to achieve LEED standards.

Located in North Texas and boasting of a population upwards of 1.8 million, Tarrant County was once known as a central hub for cattle drives and agricultural activities. Today, the county is comprised of 41 incorporated cities, with Fort Worth as the county seat, and employs approximately 4,000 government staff members.
