McGladrey’s Christa Clark Named to 40 Under 40

STAMFORD, Conn. - June 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Stamford, CT (June 21, 2013) — McGladrey LLP, the leading U.S. provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, is proud to announce that Christa Clark, a director with the firm’s financial services practice, is a 2013 winner of the Fairfield County Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award.  

The 40 Under 40 Award honors an exceptional group of emerging business leaders with outstanding leadership qualities, commitment to professional development and personal achievement. The competition recognizes the best, brightest and most promising business professionals in Fairfield County.

Candidates are judged on their contributions to  their specific industry or the position of authority they have achieved in their career. Leaders in business and non-profits of all sizes and industries were considered.

“This is great recognition for Christa,” said Tony Ceci, managing partner for McGladrey’s Connecticut offices.  “Given her passion and demonstrated leadership, especially regarding her mentorship of women in business, this award is richly deserved.” Christa’s client, who nominated her for the award, said, “Christa seeks to share her knowledge and experience of  the taxation industry with her clients and keeps abreast of newly issued tax regulations and proposed tax regulations, introducing these to her clients in a timely manner which facilitates efficient and effective tax planning strategies for them.”      

Clark, who lives in Stamford, is a key member of McGladrey’s financial services practice, which provides assurance, tax and consulting advisory services to private equity and hedge funds as well as other alternative investment vehicles. Clark has been with McGladrey for nine years and has her CPA license and an MSA with a concentration in taxation. She is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Lower Fairfield County as well as the Go Red American Heart Association leadership council. She also volunteers through McGladrey for a number of corporate community service events including Junior Achievement, New Covenant House and Stamford High School cheerleading.  

Clark was recognized at the Fairfield County 40 Under 40 celebration on Thurs., June 20, 2013 at the new Hotel Zero Degrees in Norwalk, CT.
