FANWOOD, N.J. - June 18, 2013 - PRLog -- After a successful “soft opening,” Be Craftful, a children’s toy and craft boutique, is officially opening on Wednesday, June 19th at 2pm.  Co-owners and six year residents of Fanwood, Amy and Demian Boroff, are excited for the opening of their store which features a unique selection of toys and create your own kits as well as a craft-pit where children and their families can create, gift and giggle.

Grand opening festivities will take place on the first half day of the end of the school year and registration will be available for summer activities such as extended workshops and parents nights out.  The Mayor of Fanwood, Colleen Mahr, will be onsite for the ribbon cutting, face painting, balloon and festivities.  All retail items will on sale with a 10% discount.

The business is the first endeavor together for the couple that live in Fanwood with their six year old daughter, Aliette.  In addition to having a wide-range of retail items, the boutique serves as a fun place to create something fabulous in a workshop, mommy and me class, birthday party and parent and/or mom’s night out.  In the coming weeks, customized to-go kits will be available where everything including the item, paint, embellishments and media can be customized.  Patrons can put together their own kits or have the team at Be Craftful help them choose one.  To-go kids are perfect for gifts, road trips and vacations in general.  A bit further down the line the baby and gift registry will be available and online shopping for convenience as well.

Being in Fanwood was very important to the couple as there are few indoor venues for families in town and they also feel strongly about investing in their community.   “It isn’t just a great idea because I love arts and crafts and seeing someone smile when Ali gives them a handmade gift, it is a great idea because it filled a gap in our hometown and made sense from a business perspective,” shared Amy.

The store’s doors will open at 250 South Avenue, Fanwood just in time to provide a creative space indoors for those hot summer days!
