DALLAS - June 18, 2013 - PRLog -- KaiNexus, a web and iOS-based software company that “makes improvement easier” for nearly twenty healthcare organizations across the United States, announced that their Holland-based consulting partner, NextChange, is now bringing KaiNexus technology to markets in The Netherlands and Belgium.

KaiNexus and NextChange partnered to translate the web-based software into Dutch, using a flexible architecture that will easily allow the software to be customized to other languages for additional global markets.

CEO and co-founder of KaiNexus, Gregory Jacobson, MD, said, “We are very excited to be working with NextChange to bring KaiNexus to our first markets outside of North America. NextChange has done a phenomenal job in working with us to translate our software to work seamlessly in Dutch. We can't wait to see what their customers will be able to do with this powerful improvement platform.

Erwin Haas, a partner at NextChange, commented, “It is very important, to us, that KaiNexus runs in Dutch for the Dutch-speaking market, because KaiNexus should be as easy as possible to use. Since every person in the organization will be able to use KaiNexus as part of their improvement work, potential language difficulties shouldn’t distract the users from the main goal of KaiNexus: making improvement easier!”

Haas said that he was interested in partnering with KaiNexus because “we see, in KaiNexus, a way to solve the problems organizations are struggling with, or to give organizations a solid basis upon which to start their continuous improvement efforts.”

Mark Graban, chief improvement officer at KaiNexus, adds, “Proven continuous improvement practices, as supported by KaiNexus, are universal. The spread of ‘lean healthcare’ practices throughout the Americas, Asia, and Europe, is an exciting trend and KaiNexus is happy to support important efforts that improve quality and patient safety, reducing waiting times, and reduce cost for the healthcare systems in different countries.”

NextChange will be “focusing at first in the healthcare and government markets,” said Haas, “although KaiNexus fits most markets.” The choice of initial markets is based on NextChange’s prior consulting experience in these sectors. NextChange will be selling directly to organizations, in addition to working with local market partners and resellers.

Haas sees the benefit of the KaiNexus technology as being able to “gain insight into the status of improvement, because it is possible, through KaiNexus, for everyone to see the status of improvement initiatives, gaining insight into what has already been accomplished, regardless of their physical location within the organization.”  Haas added, “One of the biggest reasons of failure of continuous improvement initiatives is the lack of visibility what’s going on because the information is scattered through the organization” and KaiNexus solves this program.

The KaiNexus software platform, which is based upon the proven improvement principles of “kaizen,” has been proven to assist in organizations’ continued innovation and improvement efforts by identifying and implementing a large number of small, low-cost, low-risk ideas that are identified and implemented primarily by front-line staff.  Additionally, KaiNexus has modules to manage “kaizen events” and larger-scale Lean projects.
