Follow on Google News | Experience Peace Through Art With MandalasAlverno College instructor Rosemary Pearson will lead hands-on creative workshop
“Understanding yourself on a deeper level brings inner peace, especially when you’re involved in creating art,” said Donna O’Loughlin, the community’s Coordinator of Collaboration and Service. “This workshop will allow budding and experienced artists to experience that joy together in a community setting.” Alverno College instructor Rosemary Pearson, MSAT, LPC-TL, will lead the workshop, teaching how the mandala, a circular symbol, can be used to reveal a sacred truth. “Participants will discover color’s healing and energizing effects when they create a personal mandala that reflect’s their heart’s light,” Ms. Pearson said. “They also will collaborate on a larger group piece, which will help draw out the importance of the individual in community.” The workshop is open to men and women of all experience levels, age 15 and up. There is a class fee of $10, and advance registration is required. Please call Donna O’Loughlin today at 414-385-5272 to reserve your place.
