Local company fares well in adventure race

BELLINGHAM, Wash. - May 29, 2013 - PRLog -- For one Whatcom county storage company, the Ski to Sea adventure race is a total team effort. Team getSimpleBox.com recently finished in second place in the competitive Master's division and seventh place overall out of 497 teams.

In addition to sponsoring a team in the race, Get Simple Box was also an event sponsor and supplied Shipping Containers to each of the seven legs of the race. Organizers secured race equipment prior to the race and the containers were used as shelter on the rainy race day.

The Ski to Sea race has been held each Memorial Day weekend since 1973, with early versions of the race being held from 1911-1913. "I don't know how we could pull off the event without the convenience of Simple Box," said one event organizer. The Ski to Sea event utilizes over 1,000 volunteers along the 100 mile course. "We're just happy to play a small part in such a great event," says Ross Black, Get Simple Box co-owner.
