Salem Storage Company Gives Back

"Giving is important to us because it is something that has always been a part of our family," says Britney Eshuis, co-owner of Get Simple Box of Salem. "So it was only natural that we would do the same with our business."

By partnering with the Salem Leadership Foundation, Get Simple Box of Salem has contributed to several active community projects over the last two years, including providing storage and moving  container delivery for 16 different locations that the NGO has used in their operations.

In the last three years, Get Simple box of Salem has contributed to improve the comfort and well-being of the most vulnerable in Salem, especially during winter. The ongoing project covers warming shelters during the winter and transitioning into different services during other seasons.

"Homelessness is a serious problem in our community, and we are doing what we can to help those who are struggling," concurs Trevor, co-owner of Get Simple Box of Salem.

Recently, the owners of Get Simple Box have focused on partnering with Salem Leadership Foundation during the holiday season to organize events and help contribute necessities to those in need, especially homeless kids and families.

Heading into the busy summer moving season, the co-owners have pledged to go out of their way to introduce the idea to other companies in an effort to help the most needy in Salem, especially the families and kids facing hard times.

"It is rarely the big things that a few people do that are remembered for long, but the little things done consistently over time end up making the biggest difference," Eshuis says.
