DFLabs Announces its new Computer Forensics and Incident Response Academic Program

MILAN - May 27, 2013 - PRLog -- DFLabs, the leader in Incident Response, Forensics and IT GRC, announces the availability of its Academic Program.
The DFLabs Academic Program enables Universities and Educational Institutions to promote the Computer Forensics and Incident Response culture into their classes and offer their students hands-on experience with Dflabs innovative products. The Dflabs Academic Program is composed by two modules, which can be purchased in combination or separately. Currently, the DFLabs Computer Forensics and Incident Response Academic Program is being used by many Universities worldwide for their Forensic and Response Classes, and it is composed by:

Module 1: PTK Forensics

PTK Forensics is a computer forensic framework, for collaborative and centralized analysis. PTK forensics offers many features such as multi-user analysis, search and management of complex digital investigation cases. The core component of the software is an efficient Indexing and Analysis Engine performing different preliminaryoperations during the import phase of each piece of evidence.
PTK Forensics allows simultaneous management of different cases and multi-user profiling. Investigators can work on the same case at the same time. All reports and bookmarks generated by an investigator are saved in a reserved section of the Database. The package includes:

1. PTK Forensics license for up to 30 Concurrent  students

3. PTK Forensics slide set licensed for 12 months (available upon request also onsite or instructor-lead dedicated training )
The package also include already pre-packaged Evidence Sets for On site and online classes.

Module 2 : Forensic and Response Case Management

This module is based upon DFLabs IncMan Suite, an advanced IT security incident response and Forensic case tracking software solution that enables the management of every kind of data breach and information security incident.
IncMan can manage over 170 information types and supports the entire incident management process from security to fraud, including data breach, digital forensics, case management, GRC and incident/evidence tracking. With IncMan Suite, students will learn to handle the case management portion of the Forensic and Response process. It will be also possible to make your current Forensic Tools such as: Encase®, PTK®, and many others working directly and automatically with IncMan, so a complete process learning will be achieved. The Package is composed by:
