PODS of Spokane to support Gonzaga University for ‘ZAGiving’ recycling program, May 8 - 14

Moving and storage company to provide PODS containers to help store, transport donations for the less fortunate

May 8, 2013 - PRLog -- (SPOKANE, Wash.) – To help students simultaneously celebrate the end of the school year and the spirit of giving, PODS of Spokane, a moving and storage company, has partnered with Gonzaga University to provide logistics and seven PODS containers to help collect student donations — including used furniture, clothing, TVs, mini-fridges, non-perishable food items and any other vestige of college life — to Catholic Charities in an altruistic recycling program called “ZAGiving.”

From May 8 – 14, whether living on-or off-campus, Gonzaga students are encouraged to donate their unused and unwanted items to not only benefit low-income and homeless members of the Spokane community, but to recycle and avoid filling campus and Logan-neighborhood dumpsters with items that would likely end up in already overflowing landfills.

“We make charitable work a priority at PODS and the ZAGiving event is a great way for college students to help give back,” said David Henry, territory manager for PODS of Spokane. “We are honored to be providing our moving and storage services to help collect items for our community members who are less fortunate.”

Students wanting to help should bag up their donations and bring them to designated ZAGiving drop-off areas, which are marked by “ZAGiving” banners and signs, where they will be stored in safe and secure PODS containers until transport.
