Musicians Preparing for the Urban Music Event of the Year
Planning for the world’s largest Hip Hop Industry Mixer Convention has begun. The must-see event is going to be held on Labor Day weekend in Los Angeles, California.
The Western Conference Hip Hop Industry Mixer expects to see a large assortment of America’s vocal artists, dance crews, musicians, DJ’s, MC’s, rappers and beat boxers. This is the 6th annual Western Conference, and the previous years have a reputation for bringing together people in the Hip Hop, R&B, Urban, Gospel, Soul Krumping and Funk genres, creating excellent A&R opportunities.
Those looking to break into media will be pleased by the many red carpet events going on during the conference. A huge fashion show provides the perfect opportunity for models to be discovered wearing the latest trends. Since many musicians will also be participating, it is a great opportunity to get swagged out and show a possible sponsor that they are ready for anything. Several magazines will be sending their talent scouts to these shows!
Newly signed artists and surprise celebrities also attend the Western Conference yearly. This makes it possible for over 3,000 attendees to hopefully get the attention of one of the West Coast Legends. Some undiscovered talents also frequent the convention hoping to gain interviews with sponsors or run into their fans in a casual setting. Music artists from all over America flock to this event, and due to the recent changes, all music artists can get free vendor space simply by registering online.
While all artists won’t get the opportunity to perform at the Western Conference, the free music artist space is enticing. Registering for the space early is a wise idea, especially since space is limited. This is the easiest way to gain attention from A&Rs in the industry and kick-start any music career. Many people who attend the Western Conference in Los Angeles are shocked at the results they get and the people they have the opportunity to meet.
With a large expected turn out, there is no telling what kind of music deals will be made this September 1st!
