Faulkner Design Group brings High Style to 1400 Hi Line

Design District multi-family high rise adds luxurious living spaces to Dallas skyline

DALLAS - April 22, 2013 - PRLog -- High above the glamorous galleries and eclectic eateries of Dallas’ Design District stands a towering luxury high-rise like none other.1400 Hi Line, designed and merchandised by Faulkner Design Group, is the first luxury multi-family residential high-rise in this region situated just west of Downtown.

The high-rise began as a predominately glass and concrete block building with blue and grey highlights and white tints. However, FDG transformed its public areas with a palate inspired by the movement of a nautilus shell and the natural colors of the land and sky. The nautilus shell, a geometric pattern unchanged for centuries, is considered a symbol for strength, perfection and beauty. Mathematically, the nautilus also represents the golden mean, which continues until infinity.

“The spirals of a nautilus shell illustrate the proportional perfection of growing and expanding, while also serving as a natural symbol of never-ending renewal,” said Adrienne Akin Faulkner, RID, LEED Green Associate, IIDA, ASID, president and founder of Faulkner Design Group. “We used this spiral continuum for the design and space planning in the main lobby. In the lounge, we continued with a grounded color palette reflecting the natural elements of the earth and clouds, and really capitalized on the spectacular downtown views for both night and day.”

With over 300,000 sq. ft. of living space, 1400 Hi Line allows residents to choose from one bedroom, two bedroom or penthouse apartment options. The 24-story building, officially completed earlier this year, features unobstructed views of downtown Dallas, the new Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and the American Airlines Center, as well as exclusive access to an outdoor fire pit, salt water infinity-edge pool, and skyline lounge with Nanna Walls™ giving access to the outdoors and an all-inclusive 3,000 sq. ft. fitness center.

Located in the up and coming Design District just west of Downtown, 1400 Hi Line has direct access to the city’s major thoroughfares as well as many of Dallas’ hot spots and city life attractions.

“Aside from the beautiful outcome of the competed property, the most rewarding part of the project was working with such a great energetic, talented, respectful and communicative team,” said Faulkner. ”From the building and landscape architects, to the contractors, to the management team, we were able to do our jobs efficiently and effectively and provide the people of Dallas with a chic, functional and luxurious living community that will be contemporary for years to come, and one that is an icon to the Dallas skyline.”
