Jason Lyric has the industry buzzing!

Jason Lyric reminds us of what feel good music should sound like as he makes his stain on the world of hip hop. Born Jason Delany on April 29, Jason Lyric has the height of a ball player and the looks of an R&B crooner so no one would expect for him rap.
Popular from young age a result, Lyric often used music to fuel the soundtrack of his life. Jason Lyric’s love for hip hop came about in the 3rd grade. He recalls listening to the radio and rapping along to hip hop great Tupac as a hobby. In 1995 rapper Mysikal blazed on the music scene with the hot single “I’m Not That Nigga.” Jason Lyric could have lost his mind from the serge of vigor, excitement and drive he felt when he heard that song. It was from that point on he would look at music in adoring fashion and do all he could to be apart of that world. At an early age Jason lost his brother and cousin to violent crimes. These horrific events made a huge negative impact of his life. Music became Jason’s therapy as he used it to release all of the frustration he had growing inside from all the curveballs life could possibly throw.
Inspired by artists like Tupac, Nas, Outkast and Amy Winehouse his approach to each track he burns up has a smooth and confident delivery. Jason Lyric breathes new life into hip hop giving his listeners good quality music laced with that distinct New Orleans flair. He has been a footed opportunities to collaborate with a slew of local and national artists such as C-Murder, Snoop Dogg, Juvenile and B.G. As of today he has successfully released four mix tapes selling over 25, 000 copies. Jason Lyric released his fifth mix tape “The Whole Truth” May of 2011 and is currently in the lab cooking up some hip hop gumbo to serve up on his album soon to be released in 2013..
