By: ETher NDE ETher NDE is now pleased to be able to offer the final piece of its Probe Catalogue puzzle, a Rotary Drive Series. Offering two different Rotary Drives, ETher NDE is now able to cover all their customers’ rotary inspection needs. Eddy current rotary inspections of fastener holes and countersinks are performed routinely in the Aircraft Maintenance Industry and now the method is also being used increasingly in the power generation industry for the inspection of bolt-holes on wind turbines. High-speed surface inspection is also another area of increasing usage. Firstly, ETher NDE is pleased to introduce the Mercury Rotary Drive, ETher’s smaller Rotary Drive option. Perfect for tight spaces, the Mercury Rotary Drive is designed and manufactured in-house. Featuring a clearly visible alarm LED and a camera thread mounting to facilitate easy attachment to an inspection fixture. Not only is the Mercury Rotary Drive compatible with the ETher NDE Vantage and ETi-200, but it is also compatible with the Hocking Phasec 2s, 2d, 3s and 3d. The second Rotary Drive available is the Saturn Rotary Drive, a larger, high-torque Rotary Drive option. Built with robustness in mind the Saturn is compatible with the Vantage G2 and industry standard 4 pin Fischer Rotary Probes and can withstand the harshest of inspection environments. As with the rest of the ETher NDE probe range, their Rotary Drives and Rotary Probes come with a guarantee of high quality design, manufacture and the long established knowledge of the ETher NDE team to help make sure you get the right product for your application needs.
