Company’s innovative game is designed to help people manage anxiety and depression through gameplay
Seattle-based Litesprite announced today that it is one of five finalists in the competitive Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Games to Generate Data Challenge (http://www.rwjf.org/
Litesprite’s finalist application is a casual game designed to help people, especially adult women, with anxiety/depression. Incorporating evidence-based treatment methods into the gameplay, the game will be a first-of-kind self-help tool for mental health. Throughout the game, the player's activity and progress will be tracked and rewarded. Clinicians and caregivers will be able to access information to help understand the player’s underlying challenges and triggers associated with managing anxiety. Friends and family will also have a mechanism to participate as part of the player's support network. The company intends to develop a suite of games to address a number of health conditions. These games have the potential to significantly improve health outcomes.
