3 April 2013 -Top link Asia will be holding a workshop themed as the Best Practices of Combined Cycle Power Plant Operations. Date have been set from 13th till 15th May 2013 and to be held at the International 5 star Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Engineers of all disciplines, managers, technicians, design, maintenance and operations personnel, and other technical individuals who need a comprehensive introduction to practical optimization, operation and design consideration of a major combined cycle power plant are encouraged to participate this workshops which will benefits them in many ways and will be trained by Clive Warrender.

Participants who attend the workshop, will be able to:

•Re-examining the inherent benefits of CCPP generation
•Explain the thermodynamic process in CCPP
•Describe the main components of an industrial gas turbine
•Describe the start-up and shut down procedures of Gas turbines
•Explain the process of steam generation
•Explain the importance of water chemistry in steam generation
•Describe the components and function of a Heat Recovery Steam Generator  (HRSG)
•Understand the maintenance requirements of a Combined Cycle power Plant
•Describe the factors involved in developing and implementing a maintenance program for a combined cycle power plant
•Discuss factors affecting combined cycle power plant performance

Trainer:
Clive Warrender
Cliver Warrender has over 30 years Power Station operational experience with steam turbines up to 350 MW, OCGTs up to 17 MW and all auxiliary Power Station plant. As Shift Charge Engineer he was responsible for plant operator training which included HV switching, Synchronizing, GT operations, Fire systems, and emergency procedures.

Clive’s most recent full time power plant experience was supervising site and contract staff on CCGT and OCGT routine maintenance and major refurbishment. He has worked for RWE Npower, National Power and CEGB
