A first look at Sage 200 v2013

Following the latest release updates we are now able to highlight some of the key enhancements to be found within Sage 200 v2013.
 
March 14, 2013 - PRLog -- #1 Choice of deployment

Customers can now purchase Sage 200 on premise or online with the modules and number of users they require. Access online is via a web client from the Windows Azure Platform. The online modules are financials, commercials, BOM, project accounting and WTE.

#2 Improved workspaces

Workspaces are now the default view and are able to be launched from the individual module menus.

#3 Sage 200 Web User (Light)

Allows users that do not require a full Sage license can access Sage 200 for lightweight and intermittent tasks. Users can enter timesheets, expenses; authorize PO's, run enquiries and view workspace data. Cross browser support also available.

#4 Greater Efficiency with single sign on

Only one log on for handling authentication and authorisation. On premise customers can log on using their Windows ID, Online customers credentials authenticated using Sage ID and have one set of credentials for desktop and web user.

#5 Simplified License handling

New licencing mechanism for both on premise and online meaning customers n longer use activation strings from v2013

#6 Short term cash projection capability

Similar to the cash projection within Line 50, the cash projection in Sage 200 is built on cash book data. This allows customers to quickly manage cash flow by understanding the short term position and immediately see the impact of an unexpected expense or processing delay.

#7 Single click sign on for Sage 200 on premise

Greater efficiency and time saving with only one logon to access all areas.

#8 Support for the latest technologies

Support for IE 10, Windows 8, Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and Office 2013 including Office 365.

#9 Create and Print free text credit notes

Customers can now create and print free text credit notes within the sales ledger

#10 Simplified report designer

Following feedback the UI of the report designer has been simplified, hiding the advanced edit tools from view allowing a better end user experience. Also allows consistency for customers moving from Sage Line 50 as the same report designer should be familiar. Users have the option to revert back to the default view.
