March 7, 2013 - PRLog -- As the country starts to move out of winter and into spring (although it may not feel like it), Victoria Gallery and Museum can excitedly reveal a March programme that surely has something for everyone. The gallery are still proud to be exhibiting the work of Jagjit Chuhan but there is also a range of other attractions on offer that complement this perfectly.

As Easter approaches, one event which could be of particular interest is the Café Crafternoon. This takes place on Wednesday 13th March between 2pm and 4pm and has the theme of ‘Easter Chicks’. Noted textile artist Paula Powell will be on hand when she returns to the VG&M (http://vgm.liverpool.ac.uk/) to demonstrate a selection of great embroidery techniques which can help visitors at the museum to celebrate Easter. Guests cottoning on quickly could well leave the museum with their very own Easter chick hanging. The event is just £5 for entry and this also includes tea and coffee.

On Thursday 14th March, visitors at the museum can enjoy the VG&M’s Culture Bite between 12.30pm and 12.45pm. This is a free event and involves Curator Leonie Sedman talking about Lawrence of Arabia and the Hittites. These ‘bite-size’ talks fit perfectly into a lunch break and can be combined with a special lunch offer in the Waterhouse Cafe.

You only have to take a look at the Twitter activity at the Victoria Gallery and Museum site to see how well these incredible exhibitions have been going down at the gallery. Whether it is through some of the craft workshops or the great art available, the museum is delighting guests of all ages. Individuals can follow the VG&M on Twitter via @VictoriaGallery or click here (http://vgm.liverpool.ac.uk/news/) to access the website’s news section.

If those interested would prefer to contact the museum in the traditional way, they can call 0151 794 2348 or email vgm@liv.ac.uk. Failing that, they can visit the museum by going to the address below:
