Feb. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Maryland – February 23rd is closing night for Mystery Krewe, Do or Die Mystery’s Mardi Gras show.  On March 9th, Dead Center will open at Flanagan’s Harp and Fiddle (4844 Cordell Avenue Bethesda, Md).  Dead Center was inspired by the “March Madness” basketball season.  The storyline revolves around the Front and Center Training Center for Training Centers.  The Center finds itself in hot water when former Executive Director and onetime NBA referee Jim Wannahoe shows up threatening lawsuits.  Will he pay the ultimate price for unsportsmanlike conduct?  The show runs Saturday nights through March 30th.  Tickets can be purchased on the Do or Die Mysteries website or by calling the box office at (443) 422-3810.

Do or Die Mystery Dinner shows are performed every Saturday night at Flanagan’s Harp and Fiddle.  Shows change every month. Coming up in April is Do or Die Mystery’s salute to tax season, Death and Taxes.  May’s show will feature a Mother’s Day theme, with a special brunch performance on Mother’s Day.  Tickets for the Mother’s Day brunch are $47.50 if purchased on or before April 12 and $55.00 for purchases made after April 12th.  For the holiday show, a $30 children’s price is being offered.

Tickets for the Saturday night shows are $47.50 and include a buffet dinner, as well as the interactive murder mystery show. (Gratuities and beverages are not included; beverage service continues throughout the show.)There are no children’s ticket prices for the regular shows. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.; the interactive murder mystery show, at 7:30 p.m.  Early arrivals are welcome in the main lounge.

Maryland Theatre Guide calls Do or Die Mysteries at Flanagan’s Harp and Fiddle “…outrageous, clever and drop dead funny.”

Do or Die Mysteries relocated from their former venue, Blair Mansion Restaurant, when it temporarily closed in early August.  “Avid Do or Die fans are finding their way to the new venue and we’ve had nothing but positive feedback about the food and atmosphere at the new location,” said CJ Crowe.

Online Ticketing service is available at http://www.DoOrDieMystery.com or by calling (443) 422-3810.  Limited seating is available; advance booking is recommended.

Flanagan’s Harp and Fiddle owner Steve Nugent is enthusiastic about the addition of murder mystery shows. “This is really different from anything we’ve done at Flanagan’s.  And people love it.  They also like being able to listen to live bands in the main bar when the show is over.  How many places can say that they have great food, live theatre and live music – and you can have it all in one night?”

“The shows appeal to all age ranges, but the subject matter is not always appropriate for younger audiences.  It is, after all, about murder.  Some of the comedy contains sexual innuendo, although it is generally couched in terms that go over the heads of the little ones,” explained Crowe.

Private murder mystery dinner shows are available for groups of 25 or larger, with a wide variety of shows to choose from.
