Second date added to Australian Chart Topper Owen Campbell’s Hollywood debut

Jan. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Killer B Group LLC is proud to announce the addition of a second night of “Australia’s Got Talent” finalist Owen Campbell’s Hollywood debut, Wednesday February 6, 2013 at 8pm at Piano Bar, 6429 Selma Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90028.  

Owen Campbell has been playing guitar since he was 9 years old and is regarded as “one of the world’s most talented slide guitar players” (Argus News, Ireland).  The singer/songwriter’s unique voice is a hard-worn, gravelly blend of blues, roots, soul and country, which sight unseen belies his youthful age and good looks.  Campbell’s meteoric rise to fame came on the heels of his controversial appearances in the sixth season (2012) of the hit television series “Australia’s Got Talent”.   Noted for his raw attitude and unflinching ability to ‘sing it sweet and play it dirty’.

Campbell’s street honed authenticity gives hints to influences stemming from The Band, Van Morrison, Townes Van Zandt, and even a little Johnny Cash.  As CanberraJazz.net says, "His voice fits the down south mood: languid and unforced with an air of simple honesty."

Owen’s sophomore album “Sunshine Road” has enjoyed extraordinary success having reached the Top 10 on the ARIA charts in half a dozen countries as well as No. #1 position on the iTunes Top Album Chart in Australia. In addition, “Sunshine Road” has also been in the Australian Blues Radio Charts for the last ten months, hitting the No. #1 position on two separate occasions.

Constant touring has kept Owen busy for the past year. From the highest blues festival in the world, The Himalayan Blues Festival in Katmandu in Nepal across to Ireland, the UK, and Europe, through to his home continent of Australia, he has been impressing audience worldwide.

Killer B Group recently announced that Campbell would make his Hollywood debut Monday February 4, 2013 at 7pm at the Hotel Café, 1623 North Cahuenga Boulevard in Hollywood, CA and that he is currently recording with legendary producer Mark Opitz (AC/DC, INXS, KISS, Lenny Kravitz, The Beach Boys, etc..).

Performing with him in the showcase is Kenny Aronoff, one of the world's most influential and in-demand drummers will be playing drums with Campbell at both his showcases.  Aronoff was named the #1 Pop/Rock Drummer for five consecutive years and has played on over 30 Grammy-nominated recordings.
