By: MBAUniverse.com Now let us have a look at the section-wise analysis of SNAP 2012. General English The section had 40 questions of one mark each. There was one reading comprehension passage and the focus was more on verbal ability. The RC passage was simple with easy and direct questions, the verbal ability questions were on vocabulary – synonyms, antonyms, substitution of appropriate word, sentence completion and fill in the blanks. Grammar questions included error identification, sentence correction, arrangement of jumbled sentences, punctuation and passive voice conversion. Quantitative & Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency This section had 30 questions and the total marks were 40. This section was considered to be the easiest. Out of the 40 questions, 14-15 were on data analysis, geometry, variance, logs, time and distance and percentages, which were of higher difficulty level. The rest of the questions were easy in nature. Analytical & Logical Reasoning This section had 40 questions of 60 marks. The section was the toughest. The questions were on coding-decoding, letter-series, Venn diagram, cubes, fact inference judgment, blood relations, odd man out and verbal analogy. General Awareness The General Awareness section had 40 questions and the total marks were 40. The difficulty level of this section was easy. The questions were a mix of current affairs and general awareness. The current affairs questions were asked on Olympics tennis winner, Sushil Kumar's brand association, Royal Enfield's parent company, owners of the Delhi and Hyderabad airport, etc. The static GK questions were asked on India's Constitution, geography, history, economy, etc. The result of SNAP 2012 will be declared on January 10, 2013. In spite of the similarity in pattern, there was a surprise change this year. The candidates were not allowed to take their question papers outside the test hall.
