SnaptPowered Cloud Solution Focuses On UK Enterprises
Snapt makes open source accessible in the cloud for international enterprise
Snapt can be utilised as a complete ADC, a load balancer and a web accelerator. It is available in a variety of software formats – either as an installation bundle for use on any Linux or FreeBSD server, or in an array of virtualized formats for fast cloud deployment. Snapt enables enterprises to select their SLA times and the support required. Snapt Cloud clustering is included free of charge.
“Everyone understand what it means for Snapt to save 40% of the server costs companies have – but many businesses don’t realise the increase in revenue and decrease in bounce rates a dramatic speed increase in the loading time of pages can create,” said Dave Blakey, CEO of Snapt.
Snapt’s attraction for enterprises is that it allows an unlimited number of standby devices, with an unlimited number of floating ‘virtual’ IP addresses. The solution’s redundancy ensures zero-downtime if there is a hardware or software failure on the company’s web accelerator, ADC or load balancer.
Snapt Cloud is offered as a free service to all Snapt clients to monitor installations, alert downtimes and allow for automatic synchronized configuration of servers.
“We offer a very unique approach to server replication which means enterprises can benefit from a wide range of features that were previously just not available in this space,” added Dave Blakey, CEO of Snapt. "Via Snapt solutions users can do everything from centralise updates and analyse performance metrics to keep off-site logs of downtime and patches, whilst managing servers securely”.
Snapt already has a host of clients in diverse sectors, ranging from education and government to datacentres, IPS and cloud providers who are benefiting from the security and cost savings the solutions offer.
Snapt takes open-source software to the next level with affordable and accessible snap-on user interfaces, complete with the reporting capacity and expert support corporate have come to expect from commercial software packages.
Since launching in August 2011, Snapt has already acquired a number of large international clients, who use Snapt’s unique offerings to effectively manage server capacity, as well as to maintain and monitor network systems and intranets.
