Follow on Google News | Songwriter Dan Coyle Kicks Off Winter Folk Tour in Burlington, VTAcclaimed singer songwriter Dan Coyle is heading to Burlington for a tour kick-off show, celebrating his recently released album, Winter Folk.
Radio Bean is offering free admission to his 8 p.m. show. Radio Bean is located at 8 North Winooski Avenue. "It has been an amazing year, since returning from my 2011 European tour. Now I’m happy to be back in the U.S. and ready to start the Winter Folk tour," the New York City-based Coyle said. "I hope everyone will come out and hear their favorites as well as a dozen or so new songs." Coyle's music has been described by the Red Onion News as "...refreshingly original yet uniquely familiar. Not copyright infringement familiar – more like comfy couch familiar. Dan Coyle delivers a clean melodic sound reminiscent of Simon and Garfunkel but with a decidedly contemporary feel." "It's an acoustic mix of Josh Ritter, Paul Simon and Jason Mraz, with some soft and hard edges to it," Coyle said. Coyle has released eight albums to date, including “From Prague to Paris” and "You Linger Your Little Hour And Are Gone." His latest album “Winter Folk,” was written during his time back in the U.S. It was recorded in Brooklyn and released worldwide November 15, 2012. He has toured internationally since 2008, playing everything from small venues to concert halls to massive festivals. Coyle will play several more dates December through February across the U.S. and will be heard on several national and local radio stations.
