Follow on Google News | GHS regional health screening Nov. 2 in Pawleys IslandGeorgetown Hospital System’s Regional Health Screening is set for 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church in Pawleys Island.

Lamb The popular screening is one of several that GHS offers throughout the year for the community and includes a variety of health screenings, many of which are free, as well as information about GHS programs and physicians and tips for a healthy lifestyle. Screenings that are offered for a fee include cardiac risk assessment, $25; chemistry panel, $20; thyroid screening, $15; diabetes, $15; PSA for men, $15. Blood panel tests require a 10- to 12-hour fast. Flu shots will be available for $25. Medicare B is accepted, and a Medicare card must be presented. Registration packets for the event are available at the information desks at Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Waccamaw Community Hospital. Individuals who plan to have blood work are encouraged to pick up a packet in advance, complete it and bring it to the screening. ackets also will be available at the event, which will take place in the church facilities, 1633 Waverly Road.
