So Long Bill Cook - Plumbworld Will Miss You

Plumbworld, currently one of the leading online bathroom retailers in the country were enthralled to have Bill when he first came on board and were equally as sad to see him go last month. Everyone in the business at some point had come into contact with Bill as he managed accounting and other HR issues. A testament to his welcoming personality is that nobody has ever, in over 10 years, had a bad word to say about him.

SEO Specialist, Anthony Langston stated: “Bill treated you like everybody else, no matter what your position or role in the company was. You could be picking and packing bathroom cabinets or managing an entire department and it wouldn’t make an ounce of difference to him. He was one of the easiest people to get along with and had friends throughout every part of the business... It’s a sad day for most businesses when a long-serving member of staff leaves; but Plumbworld chose to look on the bright side and revisit some of their past memories with Bill. Most staff members made it down to the local pub to talk about and listen to some memorious occasions over the past 10 years. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all, but sadly short lived.  

Everyone at Plumbworld signed a card for Bill, wishing him the best for all his future endeavours; but nothing will replace having him in the office every day.

Some people have rumoured that the business will get a wax mannequin of Bill made up and kit it out in a Rangers football top, but this is just hear say...

Scott Morris another avid Rangers supporter among the staff at Plumbworld commented: “As much as having a life size mannequin of Bill around the office would be fantastic... We’re actually thinking of just getting a Rangers top with Cook printed on it to commemorate his time here at Plumbworld.”

The Plumbworld website is hosted on the large Online Home Retail network at present. The network already hosts close to 50 niche-specific websites which sell a whole range of products, varying from multi fuel stoves all the way to cheap power tools and gardening products. Online Home Retail Limited was originally Plumbworld Ltd back in 1999 and since then it has been bought by the Grafton Group PLC in 2006 and received a brand overhaul in June 2012. The business now employs close to 60 people in its purpose built warehouse and offices whilst turning over in excess of £20 million per year.
